Even with the split over the weekend, it feels like the Sox are not quite in the groove. The knuckleball wasn't there for Wake yesterday. Lowell is sputtering after being WS MVP last year. Sure they are on top but, really, you can't be dwelling on that. Nonetheless, Coco was gorgeous. An easy triple yesterday and home runs both Saturday and Sunday. Where would we be if that trade had been made?

• On the Jays' death watch:

• I don't have that much against Dallas but another sweep by the Wings would be welcome. In the unlikely event that they meet Philly in the final, there'll be much talk of Victor Konstantinov, one of my all time favorite players whose career was shattered by the car crash in 1997. When the Wings won in 1997, he was a huge part of it, smoking Lindros at centre ice in one game of the sweep that said much about both players careers.
