I failed to mention that when we left our hotel Monday morning we walked straight into Jane Pitfield campaigning for Mayor and had a very pleasant conversation for a couple of minutes on the sidewalk at the corner of King and Yonge as commuters and actual voters raced around us. She invited us to return once she was in office and I invited her to Kingston. It was very nice but I know now that I am a bad blogger as I did not even think about taking a photo of her doing her good work. To make up for that the Toronto Star has a profile on her.

To be fair and to ensure I provide balanced coverage, I have been mistaken for Mayor Miller by Via Rail staff but it was an early train and my hair was longer than usual so these things happen.
