A doozie of a couple of games at the Watertown fairground yesterday. We watched the first half of the doubleheader which the Wizards won 3-2 on a walk off triple after starting the inning down 1-2 to the Little Falls Diamond Miners. A homerun and an error or two changed that and it was nice to jump up and down saying "Yah!! Yah!! Woot!!" and stuff like that. Heard on the news later that the second game was won 4-3 in the 8th, again on a walk-off. And yes - each game in the double header was seven innings. Compared to a few weeks ago there was much more contact with the bat - long flies, double plays, that sort of thing - which I understand is the case usually, what with the college kids getting used to the wooden bat.
Best of all...I won the 50/50 draw but I fear I used up my one lifetime credit for a 50/50 draw win on 59 bucks. [Like the time I won a CBC radio contest only to receive an lp by Tavares.] No matter. We had a feed at the Fair Ground Inn and then mini-putted at a worse for wear spot in Alex Bay.
