Well said Alan! Although very sad, this story made me feel good to know that there are people out there who care. Eddie's existance obviously meant something to a lot of people.

I remember hearing about Eddie the Bum when I was growing up in Moncton. There would be Eddie the Bum sightings and we'd all hear about them. "I saw him walking into Eatons with no shoes on!"..."Eddie the Bum slept in the middle of Main St. last night and didn't get hit by a car".
He's a legend.
