the guy was larry walker so i have mixed feelings on that. it was pretty shallow. i might have sent him too though - put the sox to the test. i have never in my life seen anything like suppan's choke on third an inning later. it was like little league. did you catch the base coach who just turned his head when it was a foregone conclusion? i like being three up and all but i gotta say i'm not hanging on every pitch like the yankees series. and i'm feeling kinda sorry for the cards.

I agree. I like Walker and have listened a bit to KMOX 1120 from St. Louis this year. But remember - you are a Sox fan feeling badly about the other team doing poorly in the World Series. We beat the Devil and now we are taking the seat at the right hand of the Lord. It is postlogue, perhaps, but one I have waited for for a long time. The 1971 Yaz card comes out to be placed on the TV tonight. Last time I did that kind of thing was when the Johnny Bower sat there for the 1993 Leafs and Kings series. I probabley sang "Honky the Christmas Goose" as well for good measure. Friggin' cheater Wayne.

I laughed uproariously at Suppan's basepath antics, reminding me once again why pitchers should not be allowed to hit or run. Throw the damn ball and go sit with the girls.

I loved, too, that the marquee defensive plays of the night were made by Manny and Ortiz.

So ... up 3 - 0 ... they couldn't possibly screw THIS up, could they?

incidentally .. collected a couple of jetsicle photos on my recent tour stop in Winnipeg ... but can't seem to find an address on your damn page ... surely I'm being blind or stupid, but help me out here ...

There's a great story at Boston.com, about the world's oldest BoSox fan, Fred Hale Sr. 113 years young: "...on game nights, Hale sits with his 84-year-old son, Fred, Jr., to watch the first few innings of each World Series game before going to bed". Beautiful! Imagine watching the game with your 84 year-old SON! Hale would've been, what, 27 when the BoSox's won the Series last in 1918?!

Nils: in the right column you will see "Tools". One hot point there is "Gmail me" which should trigger your email to open up with a one addressed to me. I even helped out with some colour and an arrow.
