In administrative news, the 2004 NHL hockey pool prizes went out this week. 'Lil Zed received a lovely framed presentation of two Bill Root cards for coming first. Second place snabbed a Hartford Whalers Risto Siltanen for Mike while coming third got Hans a Bengt Gustafsson. The Risto was chosen for its display of the early 80's movement in the NHL to the wearing of slacks while Hans got a Bengt because I could not think of any players called Hans.
The end of the hockey pool and coverage of the Federal election were bookends to the busiest month here yet at Gen X at 40. We averaged over 1000 visits a day hitting a high of 1362 on the day after the election, 29 June. 31173 total visits from 5149 unique sites. As we receive $1.75 in Federal funding for every visit after we crack the 1000 per day level, we now have the ability to hire more staff, rent space and begin work on a series of life-size statues of Ontario's Ministers of Agriculture in the 1800s to be donated to children's play parks throughout the eastern counties of the province. Thank you all.
