I skipped last week. Did you notice? Things are so quiet and I was finishing up two weeks off work. Napping one evening this week to catch up, I woke up to Joy Division on the radio and was, in that place between the dream and not, confused what year it was. I wasn't sure for half a second if it was high school or not but remembered when I figured it out waking up from an after supper nap in summer, one maybe 30 years ago when I was tired from a long day of mowing or building concrete sidewalks as opposed to sitting at a desk followed by an evening and night of the noises and demands of five kids and a cat.

The CBC's isolationist anti-sovereigntist bias frankly sickens me. What other topics are taboo? I want to know what Duceppe thinks about anything.
⇒ This plus the current article in the New Yorker makes for some scary thoughts. How did the GOP put itself in this place?
⇒ Thanks, Tony. Thanks for lowering the standard. Thanks, DJnotsofunkyGG, for raising it.

There. That is it. Friday lays before me like a breakfast buffet at a mid-range roadside hotel in a middling town in a middling state. Hope there's sausages.

I remain unsickened by the CBC's stand on matter. Not sure how you see it as anti-sovereigntist. Anti politician yes. At any rate I am happy to see some attempt at drawing a line between a commentator with a political slant and party mouthpiece.

The CBC has consistently undermined the legitimacy of the cause of Quebec nationalism and sovereignty. As Duceppe is one of the best placed commentators on the current scene, rejecting his ability to share into English speaking Canada is just another way of ensuring we remain ignorant.

Almost as silly as all those twats in hats (you have to say it so that it rhymes).
