Let us pause for a moment to consider the graphical representation of data. This was on the Globe's website this morning. Is it great because it is clear and informative or is it clear and informative because the data represented makes it so? See, that is a pretty steady rise for the Tories up there on the top line. Forget the issues, the leaders or even the point in the campaign. Forget the polling company. That is that you call a solid lead.
So where do we go from here. The election isn't for another four weeks. Surely, it isn't straight lining from here. Do the Tories shoot themselves with the incredibly silly grainy black and white creepy Iggy ads? Especially when Iggy is turning out not to be all that creepy? Or is this really old news, have the Tories begun to collapse from a higher height? If so, do the soft Dippers and soft headed Greens move to Ig?
Who knows. Maybe tax breaks half a decade from now will appeal to some. Not to me. Maybe the new Red Book will catch imaginations. Maybe. Or maybe we are just at that point when everyone has shown what they have and now have to explain what it means. Better means something.
