That's a story more about silly young staffers.

And people do care about Louis Riel -- it's just that he splits the party. The Manitoba MPs want to see him pardoned posthumously, and the rest of the caucus outside Quebec thinks that he was hanged for good cause.

Anyway, there's going to be more of a rediscovery of Canadian history, which is a lot more interesting than it has been presented, lately.

I am all for that. Yesterday, I suggested to someone from Massachusetts that the Blue Jays ought to be called out as a legacy of the Tories they got well rid of back in 1776. It was appropriate for the Patriots' Day game.
