A paradigm shift. That is what the Tory long plan has been all about - making us all comfortable with less government by dismantling Federalism with a weird tactic agreement with Quebec. A continuation of Chretien's administrative devolution with a pinch of Alberta sovereignty thrown in while no one was watching. But what if, instead, the populace wants Federalism, generous government and gets it through regionalization? Tories can take those rural Ontario and Prairie seats by 70 to 85% all they want but NDP moves on rural Quebec while the Grits take more and more of the cities with in-roads in BC. Is that what is happening? No party speaks for the nation but in doing so the nation is preserved from those who would still build firewalls and grant parts the status of the whole.

In Iggy's dreams he takes "more of the cities".
He'll be luck to hold onto the enclaves in BC and the Toronto Party could lose ground in the burbs. Ford did not win by accident.
I think the NDP surge is interesting though. If enough people fail to vote Liberal and it is reduced to a rump, the necessary realignment of the left of the Libs with the NDP and the right (and most of the money) with the CPC.
Thus, an election or two from now, two way races in ROC and interesting times in Quebec.

"Ford did not win by accident." Who knows if that is true? You might as well say that about the former Mayor in Ottawa elected on similar principles and soon proved not so much of the savior thing.
