Things were going along so well there for a while. It was warm, hot even. Tomorrow? 65F, wind and rain. Fall. Football season. Sweater weather. Root vegetables. Stews. Raking. Putting away the garden chairs. Stews. Stews are anti-summer. Within weeks I will crave them. Is this how the moulting feel?
- Update Earl-esque: it's getting Earlwellian out east. Hope the Cape Cod window panes hold.
- Listen how he starts off with a soft growl, then moves seamlessly into a well-supported, sustained high full-voice sound that then evolves into an effortless long scream!
- Summer collapse? Seems like doing nothing, keeping your mouth shut and telling me I have no choice but to vote for the Tories is not all that attractive. Others seem to agree. And yet...
- Darwin played God.
- "... steak, served with a fried egg, sunny-side up..."?
- Eleven days stolen, right now, 258 years ago.
- I had no idea this existed when we drove through last Sunday. Thinking of making it a holiday stop next summer.
Off to enjoy Friday. Think I will sweat. Complain about the heat a bit, too.

Harper is where he always has been -- marginally ahead of the Liberals between elections, with the occasional bounce up to a double digit lead.
Ignatieff could well beat him, just as any opposition leader can.
Let's have a fall election. Elections are fun! ( My money's still on October 2012...)

Even more here.
Not a great summer, but nothing terribly worrisome.
