There always seems to be a day off before these school breaks. The day before that is a day that nothing gets done, the ones before that focus on what you are going to do when school is closed. I will work - by comparison of significant degree - and work I will. Not with a shovel but with a keyboard. I used to like working with a shovel but dreamed of the day I could work with a keyboard.
- I want one.
- Starlings realize that they are starlings and do the right thing.
- Not good enough for even the Jays, why is Millar a story?
- I could click through these photos of 1960s Nova Scotia for hours. And I have. Ben's bread. Boxy mid-sized business buildings. Neato.
- "...ruining people is considered sport..."
- The new Federal Civil Service intranet: "...have directly forbidden their employees to share information or work on the platform..." Fear Me. Fear. Me.
- "Two plants for a civil servant’s office cost nearly $2,000" - get your own damn plants.
- Failing to fall on one's sword sometimes not so good.
The bell tolls. Labours must begin. Off to tall buildings again.

The old photos of NS are very interesting. Remarkable how self sufficient the region appears to have been back in those days. How can we get back to a semblance of this? Not sure about the Rolls in front of the North Sydney fish plant though. Surely things weren't that good.
