We have to try harder next time. But we still have the 50 km cross country to win!

I think we have learned that there is such a thing as too much television and that the broadcast banter between actual sports events can be even more mind numbing and soul sucking than <<insert most despised television event here or default to Canada Action Plan advertisements>>.

We have learned that many athletes are very good at going fast, jumping high or twirling a lot - but often not very good conversationalists.

We learned that those athletes and their entourages are either really big on having safe sex or they are hoarders of prophylactics.

We learned that Apolo Ohno is actually quite a dick head sore loser.

We reaffirmed our faith in the wonky astrologizing of figure skating judging.

We learned that watching curling really is the best all-natural sleep aid.

We didn't learn how many poor military grunts were bivouacked with their snowmobile and a tent in some fog bound slush pile 100 meters beyond the look of the TV cameras - or how much that cost - or how many potential terrorists (or drunken Swedes) they thwarted.

But the number one thing we learned was that we are all screwed on Monday morning because we are now so far behind on work and sleep.
