Well, that's it. The 2010 sports season is over and it finished with style not to mention an ugly yet brilliant interception. And at least that interception removed the question being only about the NFL's stupid overtime rules. So, all in all, one of the better Superbowls with 57 minutes of hope and excitement. I wonder if the same can be said about The Who. I wanted to like The Who but I found myself just watching Pete Townsend flicking his sports coat out of the way of his guitar. It really should have been called "Daltry and Townsend as The Who" or "Daltry and Townsend in a Tribute To The Who". What else went on over the weekend?
- Syracuse smoked Cincinnati to make a claim to #1 ranking.
- Greenock Morton held their own by not playing.
- I watch significant bits of the Leafs this weekend. I taught the son what it means to be a Leafs fan letting him stay up late to witness Friday's big choke against the Devils as they let in three goals in the last few minutes. Cry boy. Cry.
- In a headline that can only foreshadow inevitable political events in the all too near future, Canada crushes P.E.I.
- Truck Day is later this week. Here's the Sox roster for spring training. My only surprise is that only one player is named Jonathan Papelbon.
- The Olympics start Friday and I am now backing Team Latvia even more after it comes out that Canada is the nation of the cheater pants.
Done. A weekend's worth of sloth synthesized and summarized.
