I haven't watched CBC news regularly for a while and the throbbing spinning new colours are not going to help. The way these things work - like the weird past use of orange on the CBC web, like the nine o'clock evening broadcast - they launch big and then retract, retract, retract. I just watched talking head do a piece on the death of a boy and more than half the screen was another hotel room sized TV screen throbbing with the words "Breaking News". Why was the reporter's shoulder behind the appliance? Why did the screen on the table on my screen display no actual content?
Done. Channel's changed. Maybe I'll check in for an update if there's a 2010 election.

It's just awful - it's like they've finally decided that 1996 was the epitome of what news networks were supposed to be, and went with that. And all sorts of faux populist stuff - what will YOU do with YOUR CHILD in organized sports to AVOID H1N1. Blech.

News for AD news junkies. Ooo! pretty lights and serious sounding jingles.
If you want eye candy to appease those not interested in the story you just can't beat the Nude News.

I watched it again last night and yes it does still really suck. News at the nightclub.
