Ouch. I suspected McKay wasn't very bright but I never thought he might be complicit in war crimes. I would think an inquiry would be welcomed by those so sure the matter was due to the incompetence of the diplomat - even if for no other reason than to make sure that diplomat does not repeat the behaviour at his new posting.

I am having fun with FOI requests to the CHRC. The most recent one has had every name redacted on s. 3 Privacy Act grounds. Which is hilarious as s. 3 of the Privacy Act specifically exempts federal civil servants names where they are acting in normal course of business.
