It's starting. That sleepy time in summer when nothing seems to really be happening. The recession is chugging along and society has yet to collapse. It's ten weeks to October's chills but no one is stocking up on sweaters or beef broth yet. There was a perfect game - just the 18th ever. I watched one all by myself while house sitting in 1991. I didn't know hat to do so, naturally, I played the Harry Belafonte vinyl version of "Day-o" non-stop for the last 3 innings. The trick was never lifting the needle. Sorry about those scratches. "El Presidente" appreciated my efforts.
- Urban camping in NYC.
- Extremely bad web content. Who decided "coming soon" was ever a good idea?
- An amazing guy
- Does all this overpriced cranky newspaper columnist stuff make a difference?
- The weather has been coming from the south instead of the west this week. It's damp. It's kinda weird..
That's it. Not much happening. The week you dream of in February.

That is an impressive story about the hero chopper pilot.
I am not a fan of the politics that led to such wars but you can't deny the character of the people volunteered to step forward.
