I always find the gap between July 1 and July 4 noteworthy. I don't know why. I am glad Canada Day, the quieter of the two comes first. The neighbourhood played 500 Up and then napped on Wednesday. We will be across the border for Saturday, too, so expect to be a bit more sis-boom-bah about the whole thing.
- Why are changes to Facebook considered news?
- Remember how in the 1990s people talked about "the new economy" before the collapse? We'll I think this recession we have a new economy in the recovery if Ford Canada's jump in sales is any indication.
- Excellent. Show trials of diplomats. This will end so well. So well.
- It's The Session today if you want to learn about beer buying travel tips.
Maybe more later. Late today due to the server being in the dry dock for a refit.

I think Ford got a big shot in the arm, brand-wise, when they were the one big North American automaker not to take a government bailout...
As for Iran and the British diplomats -- it's seemed to me since last month that the government there has a death wish...

I can easily see this soon turning into the sort of Serbia / Iraq "no fly as we deconstruct your infrastructure from the air" policy situation.

Given a different American president, I might see that as plausible or even likely.
With this one, who is right now trying to block European efforts to up the sanctions on Iran... well, maybe it doesn't matter given the Israeli PM we now have...

I thought changes to Facebook were the norm, not the news. At one point recently, there had been so many changes it seemed all a blur. Too much tinkering. Maybe not enough for the staff at Facebook to do? As for the change in privacy settings, I guess that's ok, but it must have been a slow news day.
