"Canada is not really having a recession.." Exactly.

That being said and being correct, maybe such crazed spending will simply put us in an even better financial position after the R vanishes down south. One can only hope though that any funds earmarked for planned capital projects don't find their way through back door channels to pay for already completed, not-necessarily-beneficial-to-the-populous-as-a-whole or really all that needed projects that are in the red.

Highways yes, roads yes, new innovative developments especially the green variety, yes, arenas, no.

And in the end, the budget is an expensive hodgepodge of meh. A LOT of money spent on a terribly wide array of things and the nice little bit about the provinces and municipalities having to kick in 30% of the money to get things in progress. Most most will claim they have not got the funds to do so. That and PERMANENT tax cuts.. dumb dumb dumb. Deficit will be insane.

But, in the end, as a Liberal, better IMHO to support it and let the Conservadroids be in power as unemployment rises then defeat them on any other issue that is unappealing when the rebound is about to come about.
