The years are long past when anyone with a life wrote about their blogging as if it was, you know, somehow important - so it is with great mirth and sympathy for Kateland that I read her post about a comment on the bizarre and troubling case of Suaad Hagi Mohamud being rejected by something called a Blogging Tory at a site which seems to be an ardent apologist for anything done by that author's statist betters. Just imagine having the self importance to place this nugget on the internet:
Please note: Comments will automatically be approved when one comment has previously been approved. However, new visitors need to know that I will not be approving any comments that are not debating the issues but are simply anti-Conservative.
In addition to all the good points made by Ms K. on the case of the Canadian who was denied here identity by the apologist's beloved state, I particularly don't know what "anti-Conversative" could actually mean. And that is not even some sort of half-baked ironic comment on the state of Canada's governing party o'One. But thankfully the substance of the commentary rejected by the party hack is so on point that one does not get sidetracked by a void like "anti-Conservative" - or, for that matter, that other author making the assertion, can you believe it that the fact of a government rejecting a Canadian's existence is solved by asserting that this is "a post 9/11 world." I am fairly sure that we have been in a post-post-9/11 world since 2006 and definitely have been there for almost a year now. We may well be more epochs past post 9/11 if one were paying attention to such things.
Anyway, it is just cheery to see someone so in love with the mirror that they could take such a stand. I am only shocked that Kateland did not point out that she has freely commented here for years... well, whenever I post anything worth her attention, that is.

I don't know if my blogging meant anything to the real world, but I do know it meant something to me.
I miss it greatly.
But I did get into a great fight about a political point on my Facebook wall just now, so I'm feeling nostalgic... :p

I just played the Reagan card. You so lose.

Nonsense!
I have not yet begun to fight!

My bad...although in my defense, if I had to list all the sites where I freely comment with or without rancor; it would probably be my largest blog posting ever...but for you, I'll make a special note and update the post.
