Liberals release election platform that is not entirely nuts and promises a balanced budget. Check. Ho hum. Tories determine outing 14 year old criminals by name will be a useful deterrent of some sort. Check. Hum ho.Duceppe says Ottawa does not understand Quebec. Check. Hum Hum. The polls are all over the place. Check. Ho Ho.
What the heck is that? Layton open to NDP-Grit coalition!?! This is great news. As the sole Canadian bloggy voice for a coalition government, I am glad my voice in the wilderness has been heard...or at least independently replicated no thanks to me. So where can I get the lawn sign that says "Coalition Now!" Don't care who is in it - I just want a coalition of some sort.
Other new for day 17:
- May dusts off her no-nukes lps. But no nuclear power? Bad nuclear power. Bad. Bad.
- Pipedream? Fired CEO? Train wreck? Whimpy?

I'm pro-cooalition government as well, but only if there is a minimum term of office. Heck, I'm pro-co if it was a multi party co, as in Grit, Green, NDP. Let the other two separatist parties have to share the other side of the house for a while.

I expect that a coalition government would be just another minority-style affair. The libs could govern but their sway over NDP'rs would be a bit sketchy I think especially with the lumen seeking Jacky in the mix.

Might just work a bit better than the current minority govt does.

The heck with coalition - given the Grits' financial situation an NDP bailout is pretty much their only hope.
