I am happy to report that I didn't spend the weekend in front of the TV watching sports. No, I was on the road. Not really visiting so much as on the road from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm Saturday and 10:00 am to 5:30 pm Sunday. The road. The road is long. With many a winding turn. And not that much sport or sofas.
- Update: I can't believe I did not mention that the Orange are in the NCAA lacrosse finals in about eleven minutes. I have no idea how to hear the game or even how to listen as I once had a lacrosse game on the car radio for about ten minutes before I figured out what the game I was listening to was.
- I did watch the first game of the Stanley Cup Finals in which Detroit blew out Pittsburg 4-0. It was the first time in a couple of years I have watched a full NHL game - which is sorta shocking as I was somwhat obsessed from around 1992 to the lock-out year. The game was pretty one sided and if Pittsburg doesn't find out how to get it done, it will be a short series. There is an insight for you. GAme 2 is tonight. Not sure if I will watch.
- What to do after a no hitter and a ggood run of seven wins? Drop three against Oakland. It's like the Red Sox think we can't seem them when they are on the west coast.
- Euro 2008 is on soon. The traditional favorites of Scotland and, in the absence of Scotland, England are not even in it this year so we fall back on the men in Orange as our team this year. But, like Scotland in the elimination rounds, they are in a group with Italy and France so it will be a tough old go. Keeper Edwin van der Sar is on a pretty good run, however, so there is hope.
- Sports are all of a sudden falling into the cacaphony of good weather events with the Memorial Cup, the NBA, Indy 500, French Open all missing my attention. The Olympics are X number of days away. If this is a recession, we sure have a lot of idle money to throw at this sort of stuff.

No Denmark either. In fact all the teams look boring so I will have to back Greece or Netherlands (based on the all-orange unis).

I completely forgot about the Euro 2008... Been too busy working and moving in and to SJ, NB. I'm not even sure who's in the Dutch team.
