I don't particularly care for commenting on other bloggers, especially the self-promoting, in large part because much of what is written is so poorly thought out but this passage by Mr. Levant in his one-man ideological battle with the community is so awful in its revision of history that it is funny:
Alberta has always had a mix of races and religions. Aboriginals were here first; cowboys -- including Black cowboys like John Weir -- were here shortly thereafter. Hundreds of thousands of Eastern European farmers came next. The Chinese built the railway. Everyone managed to get along famously -- just ask Peter Lougheed, who has more Indian blood in him than Louis Riel had. There is one thing to have an agenda - run for office, live it up. But just connect anything to anything to bolster any argument? Makes you want to unplug the internet.
