I like the heat but maybe not from early June to late September. Over 30C on Friday night and about the same today. You forget pretty quickly how cold the second half of May was and start thinking that the climate changers are right and it will be 45F by next week, 57F in August. We're all gonna fry! Remember heat wave movies? People driven to be mass murderers or all sexificated, you know, before the advent of pretty much pervasive air conditioning? I never got it. I just get a little grumpy in the heat and go for naps.
The hybrid car will solve it all. Or napping.

I just start doing things reeeeally slooowly, imagining myself as Kwai Chai Kang or Lawrence of Arabia, slowly trudging through the heat. LIke yesterday when I did what was probably 2 hours of gardening in 4.5 and drank 2 litres of whater while doing so.. I have the heat but I deal with it well. I predict a high this summer of 41 without the humidex.

One of the great benefits of hybrid cars -- I just heard this over the weekend -- is that they don't idle their engine, meaning that they don't emit smogish stuff when idle in traffic.

I've already written the author of the article on the modified Prius. The title says it cost $3.83 to power the car for six days, but that was only the electricity. No mention is made of how much gasoline was used. A few litre/100km figures are tossed out, but nothing more. Lovely reporting, that.

Send a little heat westward! We were at the Oak Bay Tea Party and had to skip the Symphony cause it was just too cold. And that was with sunshine....today it rained.
Napping is, of course, the solution to pretty much any problem.
