It's hard to express oneself at certain times.
Except for brief moments it was, as portland said on the phone, like watching the Sox play a triple-A team. Bad Colorado managing lead to bringing in the infield unnecessarily, a lack of any innovative response like a bunt or two and a general attitude somewhere between panic and resignation. But the Sox deserved it nonetheless. They played the same game they played all season, relied on a great mix of players relying on their particular skills and they had a great time doing it.
So, while you review the other photos from the NYT's slide show, I am thinking that we sign Lowell, see if Coco is worth more as a outfield version of Cora, offer Shilling a one year contract for about 5 million and trade Drew for A-Rod...OK, that last bit isn't going to happen. Oh, and wave good bye to Gagne, Tavarez, Lopez, Clement, Snyder, Wakefield, Mirabelli, Hinksi, Moss and Clayton. Yes, Wakefield. But trade Mirabelli to another league with a "no Wakefield clause" just in case.

As a lifelong fan of the underdog, you begin to feel like being a Red Sox fan has run its course. You almost want to root for the Yanks.
Hoo hoo! Yeah baby!
Nah.
