Because, you know, we wouldn't want anyone to miss out on making an insane windfall profit or anything. Canada was built on a cornered marketplace and monopolies. Our current tidal wave of fantastic resource-based revenue continues that tradition. Why deny our anti-free-market heritage?

Are you trolling for arguments, Al? Is the WS that boring? Jeez. One would think you'd actually be pleased with rolling over your opponents so handily.
And aren't you the guy who was whinning about Shilling getting hammered like the second weekend of the season too?

Given a Captcha of "pomposity extensive" I really am compelled to point out that this ban on sales to Canadians is likely an artifact of the AutoPact which is Ontario's dirty little subsidization by the rest of Canada secret.
Mind you, I suspect there are more than a few Canadians who have American pals willing to buy and then sell, second hand, the car of their dreams. Remember that there is a good deal of Scots blood flowing in Canadians which leaves us more than a wee bit canny.
