As I slip into radio silence here letting the Romanian manual spammers have their way for a few days, it is comforting to know that there is much more than me keeping you entertained. I would encourage you all to spend a few days with North Country Public Radio, the voice of my region. I am continually floored by the quality of the work they do and today is a great example. Look at and listen to these two pieces about northern Quebec. Why do they care? Well, one is about electricity generation and issues around electricity are very important to the St. Lawrence zone given all the power generated by the dams. But, also, the electricity of northern Quebec is consumed in New York. There is a relationship built by supply and demand. Not to mention that there are two far norths at play.
Good radio.

I agree with Alan and have him to thank for introducing me to what amounts to everything I loved about PBS when I was a kid mixed with old CBC Radio sunday morning radio..all in a modern, fun and funky at times format. NCPR rocks..
