Sports talk radio is all over the opportunities and risks the Red Sox and Yankees each face in their considerations of whether to deal for Minnesota Twins pitcher Johan Santana. One caller I heard was convinced however good he was the Yankees should avoid him due to their crap records of signing free agent pitchers. For me, a Red Sox rotation that runs Beckett, Santana, Dice-K and Schilling would be unbeatable and if that means Coco stays and wonder lad Jacoby Ellsbury goes to the west mid-west, so be it. If not give them, Coco and Lester and Hanson in the minors and a bunch of other players, too, if only to see the Yankss go without.

Good Lord - if both Coco and Clay go those baseballs of mine lose some of their interest to me.
