Seeing as I watch nearby upstate NY TV in the mornings for the local weather, I listen to NCPR most of the day, I listen to WFAN at night, and I watch the sports channels which is mainly ESPN, NESN and FSN...I have this feeling that I am missing a holiday today. It's only recently that I realized that the US "holiday season" has a beginning (now) as opposed to the Canadian one which sort of starts with the first office party somewhere in the last days of November or early December. Like fixed election dates, it's a race without a starting gun. And we don't even get a November day off. Not one.
Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to the Americans amongst you - portland, Gary, ry and all the rest. Watch out for the sharp elbows of cross-border shoppers tomorrow.
