In a shocking turn of events, the Syracuse Orange are not in the NCAA basketball championships. Syracuse.com's immediate reaction?

For those of you not believing it, yes, Syracuse IS NOT in. I'm shocked. I thought they'd be in for sure. But when you started seeing Purdue, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Stanford getting in, you knew the Orange would be out.

Prepare for Boeheim fireworks.

Which leads to the all important question of the sports pool. I think this is the eleventh year of my internet sports pool - yup, it all started in '97. It started as an NHL playoff pool and grew to add more championships, especially in the year that the Stanley Cup final was challenged. This year we will focus as much on NCAA March Madness as we will on the NHL. There will be European soccer and hockey as well along with a smattering of cricket and snooker. There will also be spring baseball. I also have to find some sort of a skittles league somewhere to place bets on as well.
