Nothing gives me faith in the reliability of a source of information than solid technical descriptions of things. Hope it wasn't Whoville. In other news:
Celebrities have been asked to check their facts before lending support to scientific research and campaigns, rather than risk misleading people.That is just sad. Why should the stars be required to do anything other than be fabulous or at least compliant in terms of our idlest of daydreamy moments? Given that misleading people is the name of the game, why should science be any different?

Uh, because science is supposed to be about objective truth maybe? Policy making is one thing---which is the misleading people part---but the science should be pristine. It's all we have left of real Truth.
