Last night's Syracuse - Louisville game was on the wonderful cable TV sports package that has brought me more joy than any other electronic media or content ever ever has. I got my ugly brown Syracuse t-shirt on and little man got on his orange hoodie. It was great for 30 minutes and fifteen seconds. Then...
For 30 minutes, Syracuse played as well as it has all season. The problem is, there's no way to get the final 10 minutes back. Syracuse lost a 14-point second-half lead and was outscored 24-6 in the final 9:45 of Saturday's 76-71 loss to Louisville. It was the New England-Colts game last weekend all over. The best description is not "choke" but the wheels coming off. Pure ugly and, after last weekend's loss to lowly St. John's, maybe an unrecoverable loss putting them out of March Madness. More in the Daily Orange this morning.

The best thing about Syracuse, other than various beer joints and breweries, is the SU basketbal team. For the sake of central NY, get your act together Orange.

They benefitted as much from a cold Louisville as their own skill in the forst 30 minutes. At one point the Cardinals were shooting 22%.
