When I think of Bernie WIlliams I get all confused, forgetting that I am not supposed to like anyone who is a Yankee (pittuie!). His contribution to the team last year was far above expectation for a guy in his late 30s - a .281 average in 420 at-bats. The New York Times has an article today on his desire to put in one more season:
"He’s not even talking about that," Posada said. "He said he wants to play one more year." Posada said Williams, 38, has told him that other teams have called. But with the start of spring training less than three weeks away, Williams has resisted. "He wants to be a Yankee forever," Posada said. "Hopefully, he gets a chance to do that."And he has his own website.
