Tom gave me one of my favorite moments in 2006: I walk into a bar/restaurant in another country and as I do the guy playing piano turns around and shouts "Hey! It's Al!". Tome sent out an email to let me know that he's on the 88's tomorrow night. Go wouldja:
Hey! Those of you who didn't go skiing in Canada or surfing in Mexico this week, come on down to Chicky's Fine Diner on Wednesday, February 21st to see Tom Whitehead and his Spotlight Jazz Quartet! This month's featured artist is the fabulous Brian Killough on guitar. Well known for his Django Reinhart style of group, "The Hot Club of Portland", Brian is also well versed in many other jazz styles. Another guest this month is bassist Kris Day who will be filling in for Andy Rice. Kris plays with everybody from "King Memphis" to the "Jerks of Grass", and is a wonderful bass player. Regular drummer Dustin Levassuer and keyboardist Tom Whitehead round out the quartet. The atmosphere is always relaxed at Chicky's and the food is just what you need in this cold winter weather. Hope to see you there!Sounds great and I can stand by Tom with his choice of venue. The food and brew at Chicky's is great. Onion rings the size of a child's baseball glove.Date: Wednesday, February 21st
Time: 8:00 - 10:00 PM
Location: Chicky's Fine Diner, #3 Bridge Street, Westbrook, ME 04092. (207) 854-9555.

I was wondering who these guys were, realized they are in PEI and then realized they have three degrees of separation form Tom.
