The fans go wild
Morton has re-established a ten point lead in the gripping Scottish League Second Division race after they win and Stranraer smokes second place Stirling Albion 0-2. Attentive readers will know that it has been four seasons now since they won the Third Division where they landed after a property developer basically yet allegedly tried to swoop the team to sell off the grounds in the late 90s. There have been highs and lows in being a Morton fan through my life but this season has that sense of hope - no collapse as of yet as in 2004 and 2005, no rule change to undo an automatic promotion as in 2006 and a good run in the Cup.
Yet, my child still runs around in the backyard snow with the blue and white scarf on that I got in 1977.
