Oh, there are so many comparisons that one could draw between this and our LVEC project, but I promised to behave myself. :-)

I think it is fair to compare the construction plans of the projects but you will take into account the fact that they seem to be proposing to build a waterslide set up for the same cost roughtly as the entire LVEC construction. Plus discourcse on the policy discussions would have to take into account the different rules for each municipal jurisdiction - and I know I am not able to do that.
In any event, having one of those set ups so close makes winter weekend get aways very attractive.

Very true, Alan. I just sincerely hope that their deliberation process is more transparent and fair than ours was. Implementing preconceived notions under the guise of "public consultation" is frustrating to say the least.

Well, that is the general class of thing that is not of much interest to me as you can do that elsewhere and, frankly, it's a bit of a sidetrack to nowhere as, generally speaking, generally discussing how something is generally discussed, meta-discourse, is rarely satisfying as it floats somewhere distinct from reality if what what and what lives and only lives in the realm of prepared positions. Should-not-ism. I knew someone who was a "should not." It affected the way he did his laundry. I can't bear sharing that sadness again.

On the other hand, what the projects the post-meta-discourse actual final decisions have resulted in is, however, very interesting especially as there is a massive market overlap making this end of Lake Ontario a heck of a lot more interesting on both sides of the border than it was three years ago.

Very true, again. Encouraging news about LOP, as well.

That is interesting and a gem of a park, though we are not there so often now that we are "of the township." The mix of facilities and resources in this area never ceases to amaze me, coming from the Maritimes where we were glad to have a broken stick to play with, even as adults.

News Flash: there appears to be two Watertowns side by side, a town and a City. I never knew. Here is an inordinately extended history of Watertown.
