Should the Red Sox pick up A-Rod for 2008? Yes, he will likely be a Cub but it would be nice to have three years of him back to playing shortstop, pounding them out of Yankee Stadium to cheers from the visitor's bench chalking them up for the side of the angels. He might enjoy it, too.
In other news, begin the griping now. 2007 is clearly a write-off.

sometimes money brings a curse. i dinna want a-rod. short of playing a season for minimum wage like andre dawson did for the cubs in his mvp year, he'll always be cursed. cubbies may be a good fit for him. bad mojo against bad mojo.
and, as for yesterday, i always kind of hate to spoil anybody's home opener so we'll go on from here. didn't like the look of our japanese reliever's fastball though. yikes.
and remember if youre overe 500 at the break in july, you're in the hunt. first place is nothing now for months at a time. unless the yankees win 20 in a row.

Al, come on. KC has is allowed to win 50 games this year and they can't win all 50 against 2 or three teams. At least Schilling had a bad day against a bad team, when it doesn't count, instead of during a pennant run.
Hey, you know how much too early in the MLB season it is to be kvetching like this? The Cubs are still contenders. That's how way early such complaining is. ;)
