It must be the cold remedies but I swear I never noticed these things before or put them together:
- The BBC is running a show called The Trees That Made Britain. This is likely a good idea and could be transferred to Canada with a show that includes bits on the early use tar from spruce, the rise and fall of slab shack towns, the use of white pine and oak for the British Navy and westward expansion, or even the simple scale of the forests. But it also seems to be the sort of thing that public TV can get into when it is well funded and has already presented the equivalent of Canada: A People's History and Hockey: A People's History for a couple of decades.
- This sort of face covering is a political hot potato while this sort isn't.
- Boxing is still granted the credibility as a sport that the rest of the world stopped giving it with the rise of Leon Spinks.
- People attack breweries.
- Again with the BBC TV, there is a show about autumn. Like spring for most Canadians, autumn is a season that sort of slips by while hockey is watched. It really gets the least attention in our culture. But a TV show about it?

Well, I don't watch hockey, but I would watch either of those shows (in my hoodie). Call me a git.

The words "knickers" and "bollox," they're still worth a mention.
