This is a bizzare sort of image of leadership:

Or is it just a matter of comfort, that you could exchange the words "the left", "judges", "Europe" or any other number of boogiemen that persons of a certain conviction can convince themselves conspiratorially combine to keep one's popularity at the low 30% range.
