I see the Jays have signed the Big Hurt, too ...

Will this be the second coming of Canseco time as a Jay? <p>And what is the slur for the Jays? I am quite content with slandering the Yankees by mere placement of a expletive in the adjectival form directly before the word "Yankees" but I want to reserve that form of discourse for the Yankees alone...and maybe the Habs. It is too bad that the following formula is not available with good conscience:<blockquote class="smalltext"><i>"Blue" + "rhymes with Jay but is not an unacceptable term for a dignified personal characteristic".</i></blockquote>Like if "Tay" or "Ray" was a word for, say, a cat that barfs on your girlfriend at an inopportune moment. That would make calling them "The Blue Tays" excellent.

I'm still trying to get over the last strike. Maybe this will be my year to come back to baseball.

As I said to a fiend of mine, an inveterate Yankee fan, the morning after....You can always hope that if Boston signs Matsuzaka (which I personally have my doubts about), he has the same effect on their post-season success that Randy Johnson, A-Rox and Johnny Damon have on the Yankees'.

A disgusted grunt was his reply.

it's almost a-rod money. he'd better be good to have that hanging around his neck in boston. i want him but i wouldnt want to be him. and they still need an entire bullpen, soup to nuts. big nuts. it wasn't starting pitching that killed us last year.

like my cool new name?

It's excellent! Can I call you Doctor Emporo?

Good comments on the deal.
