The fun thing about what I do is learning about all the things I know nothing about. Right now I am learning a lot about architecture, underwater stuff and food service and there is a language to each realm of human activity that is separate from the others. Phrases like modulated facade and words like turbidity have been bandied in my presence and I have to remember to be smart enough to appear dumb and ask "what is that exactly".
Then you start thinking about applying the phrases to other situations: the turbidity of my coffee, the modulated facade of my unshaven face in the mirror. There is no point to the observations above other than what I have noted. Besides, it's Saturday. I have buying rib steaks on my mind. And its a Saturday in May when the green leaves out the window look like someone picked the wrong paint can, used a lighter green than they should have, that someone was fiddling with the TV's colour adjustment. Ice creams will be consumed today by many people I know in other towns.
