This year I am going to take in some local baseball. The Kingston Loyalist Farms Ponies play in the EOBA senior league with teams from Ottawa to Markham. Here is the schedule. Double header tomorrow.

Alan- I read an article once in the sports pages about team names. Its thesis was that teams should have only a one or 2 syllable name. Therefore, Tigers and Red Sox or Bears are great names, even, shudder, Yankees. It has more punch, it is more pithy, more macho perhaps. 6 syllable team names seems a bit excessive. Are they simply called the Ponies? That works.
