Very goggle-goo-goo headed this morning from paying too much attention to the NCAA basketball championship first round. It really is the entire world series and summer olympics crammed into 48 hours. Almost as difficult was doing this table in my raw HTML wizardry below. Sad about Syracuse but it was a good run in the Big East and a team of juniors with an injured point guard can only get so far. Hail, says I, Hail!!!
So for question #3 in the GX40 NCAA pool (for which I am now very grateful only two lonely men joined me in) the scores are:
George Washington Texas A & M LSU UWVA NC State Texas Memphis Pitt Indiana Gonzaga Alabama UCLA UCONN Kentucky Illinois UNC Tennessee Villanova Boston College Florida Georgetown Ohio State | UWVA NC State Texas Memphis Bucknell Pitt Bradley Indiana Gonzaga Alabama UCLA UCONN Kentucky Illinois UNC Wichita Tennessee Villanova Arizona Boston College Florida Georgetown Ohio State | LSU West Virginia Texas Memphis Bucknell Pittsburgh Indiana Gonzaga UCLA Connecticut Kentucky Washington Illinois North Carolina Wichita St. Tennessee Villanova Boston Coll. Florida Georgetown Ohio State |
It appears I am in the lead, gentlemen.

I'm not really into baseball/basketball/american football: but if you're planning a World cup soccer pool, count me in.

I think we are looking at a World Cup and NHL hockey pool in the upcoming months. I'd do a baseball season long one but I think they kind of flag after a while.

The dark horse is settled...I picked Alabama, Hans Texas A+M and Rob Bucknell. All went out in round #2 thus creating a tie. The rule is: Ties settled by most points in the losing game. Bucknell scored 43 against Memphis, Texas A+M scored 57 against LSU and Alabama scored 59 against ULCA.<p>I believe, gentlemen, the word is "woot".
