Well so much for Holland and - after the ref's yellow and red card whipping out skills - I suppose the real winner today turns out to be England as they will likely meet a Portuguese team without its core, especially if Figo gets a red card on the review for that sweet little head butt. One Dutch fan wrote his views over at the BBC:

Holland were a disgrace. We knew Robben was a cheat, now we know the whole lot of them are. They're worse than any South Americans or Italians and Marco Van Basten must condone this behaviour because they're not usually noted for diving, cheating and physically attacking opponents. You can't blame the ref. I feel sorry for the Portuguese who were sent off, especially Deco, who seemed to be booked for being rugby tackled. Holland should have points deducted from their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign. This was all their fault. Robben and Kuyt should be banned for a number of matches, and Van Bronckhorst and Ooijer as well. It's worked out perfectly for England. Ronaldo injured, two suspended. There would have been murders if Holland had played like that against England. My Girlfriend was getting into it.
