Can anyone find the email and telephone for the new Office of Policy Alteration in Ottawa? They made a further announcement on the tradition of the Peace Tower flag and I just want to be sure to get the next press release in July when they change it again:
The new protocol effectively limits full half-masting honours to the Queen, her immediate family and her representatives in Canada, sitting and former prime ministers, sitting cabinet ministers and the chief justice of the Supreme Court. Privy councillors, sitting MPs, sitting senators and top foreign diplomats get the Peace Tower flag lowered only on the day of their funeral, rather than from the time of notification of death until the service.I'd be feeling mighty burned if I was a mere Judge of the Supreme Court or a B grade diplomat this morning.

All queeries for the Office of Policy Alteration must include the Grand Hailing Signal of Distress. Queeries which do not include the Grand Hailing Signal of Distress will be returned unopened.

Goddamnit, it's half-staff, not half-mast. Half-mast is for ships. The least they could do is get it right since they've decided to be so anal about it. Yeesh.

"Queeries"
Flea, it is time for you to drop the SSM thing...Its pretty much totalled your spelling.
Though I have to admit I rather enjoy the idea of these Queeries: sort of gay fairies, if that is not redundant.
