Stinking hot looking down into Ithaca
You are right. I set up daily World Cup chat and before the thing is half done I take off for a weekend. We'll just to make you feel better it was 92° F down there today, there are two banjos in the house even if only temporarily and I am keeping all the beer for myself this time. Gary introduced us to The Nines in Collegetown and gave the kiddlies piggy banks. And only one flake, one spammer and once racist to deal with upon return. I am verklempt.
Once I was somewhere and there was a group of southern ladies who commented on the weather. We could not decide if they were saying it was hotter than home or ham. We decided ham was better.

Try cooling off numerically with metric. Instead of thinking it's 92F out, try thinking of it as 34C. Sounds downright freezing to someone stuck on an outdated temperature scale ;-)

I think it is only fair to describe local temperatures in the local scale. I have no idea how far Syracuse and Albany are in kms but I know that they are 130 miles or so from each other even if Ottawa is 175 km from here.

You have to watch that ham temperature.

It was already smoked. But that analogy fails as it was hot maybe even with a skanking inversion layer but without smog, Iffika being in the woods.

Alan-I went to Quebec to play foosball and I saw a ROCKET ON A STICK. Neato.

Do you mean a pogo?

Listen, Alan, you people (Canadians, and apparently Canadiens too) like to put flying objects on sticks, according to your reports in the past on jetsicles. I am wondering if it is some bizarre form of extraterrestial worship?
