Blogs and doldrums - get it? I think everyone went on vacation...or computers seized or something. Sooner or later the guys spamming for viagara are going to even pack up. You know, making up words with blog in it was a blast in 2003. The other day I went to check out whether anyone was using the word "blogorrhia" as in "logorrhia" and they have. I can't wait for the next big thing. But no one has used "blogdrums " yet so that is at least something.
Woot.

Hey, doldrums, schmoldrums! How can anybody be in the doldrums when Sonic Youth has a new album out??? Sure, they gotta be in their 50s now (not so youthful anymore, number wise), but you can listen FREE right here!

Alan, doldrums or not, your loyal following is ready to chat about nothing in particular anytime, and whats this about the Red Sox, their catcher, 3 years for 30 million bucks? Did I hear wrong?
gr - July 20, 2006 10:24 AM
Ooops. Becket. Pitcher. Maybe its worth it.
cm - July 20, 2006 10:32 AM
I see gr's been having morning cocktails again.

I resent the implication that I am less than sober.
This is me all the time, I don't need cocktails to rave like a drunken fool, my brains are mush just as they are. As a matter of fact, it is an excess of caffeine that is fueling this impromptu chat.
The wife said something like 'what, are you guys going to be chatting about chipmunks and speedos again?' To which I say 'maybe we will, maybe we won't'
The ball is in your court, dear cm.

God. 30 million for 3 years. I'd pitch for the sox for 30 years for 3 million....
Alan - July 20, 2006 11:32 AM
The particular 30 million being discussed...

Funny she should mention chipmunks, as I saw one in the cemetery yesterday and wondered if he was harbouring a pair of Speedos.

I'm afraid I'm at a complete loss when it comes to baseball. The last game I saw was when the Jays won the pennant.

And now I hear somewhere that Sept. 1 or thereabouts Sonic Youth and The Flaming Lips play at the New York State Fair.....
cm - July 20, 2006 2:41 PM
New York State Fair, eh? Would that be worth missing the CNE Air Show for?
gr - July 20, 2006 3:55 PM
I wouldn't miss an air show for Kenny Chesney or Foreigner, that's for sure. I mean, "eh"

I am MOSTLY human. Interesting new techno twist, Alan, although that Italian fan got through ('Italy's in')so I guess he is human too.

I have to delete about 20 spams a day as do my sibling blogs on the same small system so this was needed.
