"Oh please don't replace me with Tavarez..."
This is the day. This is the day that the Red Sox will have to show that they have the umph to keep up with the Yankees as a franchise, as business people. Sure we are half a game up. But last nights embarassing game shows what is needed: long relief. Schilling was really bad but you have a right mid-season to be bad once or twice. Wells is back pitching tonight but that is after the trade deadline passes and we will only have an idea how strong he is then. Bryan Corey is not enough. Who?
Before his 16 games with Texas this season, Bryan Corey had not appeared in the Majors since pitching for the Dodgers in 2002.Time to spend, Theo. Time to give Tavarez the boot.
And don't trade Lowell.

Nothing. They traded nothing for nothing. Wells was bad, too. Good thing we got Willi Mo.

Wow. Big Papi hits a three run homer to win. Asked right after how he does it, he just says "oh, well, you have to concentrate."
