Or perhaps the gonad of the match. Owen Hargreaves and Ashley Cole appear after 90 minutes to be the only England players who did not have extra chips with breakfast. Good game.

One thing I'll say about Rooney ~ he doesn't play for Everton!

They could have used Rooney and Beckham in extra time, not to mention the penalty shootout. Portugal figured Robinson to be England's weak link. Well, they were wrong as the Spurs keeper was nothing but spectacular today.
Carragher's jumping of the gun, unfortunately, proved very costly in the shootout.

I don't think he got red carded for kicking Carvalho. I think the ref missed the initial contact. IMO, he got carded for pushing his teamate Cristiano "pretty boy" Ronaldo after the play. Yet, a red card for that is weak to say the least.

Rooney was red carded for violent conduct, for ..... get this... striking Rhinaldo...what a joke, why was an Argentine ref in charge of this game, surely there were enough neutral ref's that could have officiated in this game. yet again this ref seems to find it acceptable to send off an English player at approximately the same time, for a yellow card offence ( at best). Should have been a fre kick to England before this crap happened.
