If my recent and suprisingly active culling of a national blogroll of a thick layer of deadwood was not proof enough, here is the killer. After only about eight years of the collapsing alternate world out there being populated by the nerd, the CBC has joined the 'sphere with its own blog. And, surprise, confirming once again the importance of only previously authorized CBC voices under contract getting their hands on any new thing that comes along, the Ralph Benmergui (or perhaps for the new millenium Gian Ghomeshi) of the internet, Todd Maffin, is in charge.
Fantastic to read that the moter corpse has plans to roll out a soap opera...anyone recall the wonder that was Riverdale, the training ground for actors needing to work their way into Leon's ads? That was just like Coronation Street, too. Bracing for thrilling thrice-monthly interviews of Shelagh Rogers to follow.

I think thats kind of neat. If they are going to do it though, I would hope they expand it to include a bunch of their columnists where you can interact, trackback and all that other good blogosphere stuff.
